Michael S. Levinson

Mr. Levinson recently joined Dunlap & Associates, Inc. and brings with him a wealth of experience in the financial sector. Mr. Levinson served as City Manager of the City of Coral Springs, Florida for 15 years, during which time he volunteered as financial advisor to the Coral Springs Economic Development Corporation. Prior to 1995, he served as Managing Director of Innovative Financial Services, Inc. where he developed public private partnerships and public sector approaches for the financing of public infrastructure and corporate facilities. He also served as Economic Development Director/Economist for the City of Dallas, managing the Dallas Industrial Development Corporation, and as Development Finance Administrator for the City of Miami.

Mr. Levinson holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics and Business Administration from Quinnipiac University, a Masters degree in Economics from Southern Connecticut and attended Yale University Graduate School of Economics, taking coursework toward his Ph.D.

Mr. Levinson is located in Coral Springs and continues to serve as First President Emeritus of the Florida Sterling Council, advancing corporate excellence throughout the State of Florida. Under his stewardship, the City of Coral Springs received the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award for corporate excellence, becoming the first and only local or state government to receive this Presidential Award. The City is also the first corporation in the State of Florida to become a two-time recipient of the Governor’s Sterling Award for performance excellence (1997 and 2003).

Mr. Levinson has also been recognized with numerous awards, including Tribute, Florida House of Representatives, presented for dedication and managerial excellence. He was also recognized by the Board of County Commissioners of Broward County dedicating October 30, 2010 as Michael Levinson Appreciation Day for 15 years of exemplary service as the City Manager of Coral Springs.
